The day before Jane was born, I was going a little crazy since I was still pregnant and I spent way too much time on-line looking for ways to naturally get labor going. I ran across these labor inducing cookies and made up a batch. It was probably more because I was due, but I did have the baby the next day. They are yummy little spicy ginger cookies that I would make again even if I were not trying to have a baby. Next time I will probably half dip them in white or dark chocolate, since we like to do that with ginger cookies.
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 t. baking soda
3/4 t. cinnamon
1 t. ground ginger
1/2 t. ground cloves
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. cayenne pepper
8 T. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. molasses
1/4 c. egg whites (I used 1 whole egg and it worked fine)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda and spices and set aside. Cream the butter and sugars together. Add the molasses to the creamed butter, then add the egg whites until combined. Add the dry ingredients slowly. Once incorporated, roll dough into 1 inch balls and place onto baking tray. Bake 8-10 minutes. If trying to start labor, once cool eat as many as you can possibly stomach, lay down for a nap and wait for labor to begin!

3:46 AMI might have to make these tomorrow....I would rather not go into labor in the evening when I am already tired from a long day. :) I do love ginger cookies.
