End of the day

I tried to get the camera out for that great light right as the sun was going down but in the time it took me to go downstairs for the camera, it was gone. It was a very strange, smokey day with a canyon fire that changed the color of the sunlight this afternoon. Very strange.
Jane is discovering that those things on the ends of her arms can grab things. It has been so sweet to see her really go for things recently. She pulled my hair for the first time (and most likely not the last time)a few days ago.

Hanging out with Daddy.

We will get better garden photos later, but things are coming on fast and delicious. I tried to use Colin as a means to judge the scale of the tomato jungle.

Here is Jane's end of the day, in the bassinet that held her Grandpa Hinckley in 1935.

i have to write your mom because lily has decided that she wants to live with you guys when she's married and has a baby because there are enough cribs/bassinets at your mom's house. also the baby will look like jane and be named jane (think lily likes jane?). jane is so pretty; i love that she is discovering her hands. one of my babies slept in that bassinet on a visit.

Oh how I wish I could take pictures like you do! They are just beautiful, as are your little sweeties. Thanks for taking time to share them.
