On a lovely November day, we went to Wheeler Farm.

Farms are stinky.

Always playing with sticks.

And being super sweet with baby sister.

Oh those cute kids.  They keep me busy but I could not imagine life without them.

I just liked the pumpkin Colin brought home from school.   I enjoy his use of black.

And not the best quality, but Brian and I got new super fancy phones.  When I do not have a real camera (which is most of the time, 3 kids are hard enough) I try to get a few little cell phone photos.  Poor Kate, she will wonder why the photo quality went so downhill after she was born.

Above, the newly decorated tree in late November.

Kids and Brian at Temple Square.  We went to a fun Victoria Christmas Party at the Church History Museum that went along with a new exhibit they have on Victorian Children's Portraits.

Zoo lights.  We had never been and it was fun, but don't need to do it every year.  The light tunnel was very great.

Brian decorated the house.

Rode the Jingle Bus downtown.  It was awesome.

And below, our Mary and Joseph for our Posada.  It is a Mexican tradition where kids dress up and look for lodging.  We had our kids ask, "do you have room for Mary and Joseph?"  Neighbors are supposed to turn them down until you reach the appointed party house.  Some of our sweet neighbors could not turn our kids down, and one even offered Mary her own bed.  It was fun, we did some caroling with friends along the way.  We hope it becomes a tradition for us.

The day after Thanksgiving, we headed down to our little tree farm.  Cousin Maggie was in town, she is so great with our kids!

The last two or three years, the actually getting of the tree was a little traumatic (Brian takes it VERY seriously and takes a long, long time to choose the tree, which leaves me with kids who get grumpy). To avoid this, the tree farm lets you tag a tree in the Fall which was super nice.  Brian made it an extra long day for me the day he went to tag the tree, but on this end it was very nice to go out directly to our tree.

Colin asked Santa for some Beyblade.

Jane asked for a unicorn Dreamlight.

Kate is generally happy with whatever, but one gift was the light up Mickey lightsaber.  I LOVE her bed head.

And one Christmas surprise was that we get to go to Disneyland next month for a job with Daddy.  Brian has a well paying gig so it almost makes sense financially (hard to pay the money it takes to go!)   We will all go down a few days before he starts for some family fun, and then I will drive home alone with the kids.  Sounds like a dream, no?

Kate got this cute bear she loves.  She wrestles him, and one night when she got up to nurse, she saw him and needed a cuddle.

She was funny when I put the bear on the bunny.  She showed him who is incharge.

And below, general after math.  It has been SO great because no one so far this break has had a major illness!!!  We had total trama Christmas last year. I did just knock on wood to enure things continue well.

Halloween was crazy!  I last year I sat some things out with a little baby, but we were going full force this year.  I think we had 5 or 6 parties, back and forth from schools a ton, and then trick or treating.  We also went trick or treating at the Gateway the weekend before.  The kids loved everything, and minus the bad behavior that can come from too much candy, I do love the community aspect of the holiday.

Kate was this darling monkey, re-cycled from Colin in Kansas City, 2007.

For most of the parties, Jane was a princess, but then wanted to dress up in Colin's red ninja costume from last year to trick or treat.  Colin also wanted to change his costume 20 minutes before he was supposed to be at school on Halloween.  I did not have time for the quick change.  As getting out the door is hard enough, I could not do it.  Getting ready to trick or treat with some neighborhood friends.  Kate looks concerned with all the swords.

Jane not quite sure how to pose as a ninja with her warrior princess sword.

and below, Colin's cute class at school, with ninja Colin in the front.
