For the next part of the birthday, we went to a little local indoor playplace to ride the big rides.
The little roller coaster goes pretty fast! The kids love it!

The ride goes forwards and backwards, and this was Colin's reaction to when it started to go backwards. I think it is kind of funny because just a few days earlier Colin had something going on that produced a lot of vomit. It actually was not funny, and happened near the top of our open, wooden stairs that go down 3 floors. He had had a lot of grape juice and there was purple vomit on both sides of the walls down all three flights. Poor Brian had to do the clean up as I attended to Colin. We also had a friend over who took it very well and stayed to help take care of Jane. I think a lot of people would have taken that as a cue to leave as quick as possible. Thank goodness for patient friends who know that sometimes kids vomit. Thanks goodness too it was a quick bug that did not go onto infect anyone else!

We have a 3 year old!!! We had a fun day for Jane in 3 parts (with a couple more birthday things this coming weekend). She is such a delightful child in so many sweet ways, but the tyrannical threes may be evident already!

We had fun opening a pile of presents.

We mainly got her baby type things for her dolls so she can do her own mommy things with her babies when the new baby comes. Hope it helps!! She (and Colin) as so excited for a new sister. They talk to the baby all the time and give my belly cuddles and Jane especially all the time talks about how much she loves the new baby. Hope it lasts!

She was a little excited.

And yes, we forgot to get actual birthday candles, but for the weekend she has a #3 sparkler for her big cake. She did not mind the tea lights. She had her birthday crown from her Grandma Stucki and a new princess skirt from Grandma Hinckley.

And she would have been happy if I had just put frosting in the little mini muffin papers.

Although it seems a bit much, Colin's preschool had an elaborate graduation program. He has had a very great teacher who works very hard, and Colin was SO excited! Jane loved the program too, actually sat pretty still and listened to all the songs. In the above photo he is doing his sign language solo.

I LOVE this photo! So preschool. Sometimes you need to put a shirt on your head, and who knows what Colin was doing.

Colin is the tallest in his class.

He got to keep his cap and gown, and loves his tassel!! He got very serious, must have felt the pressure of oncoming kindergarten.
He is such a sweet little guy!

We have finally had some nice weather (but a little more snow today). On Sunday night we headed down to Temple Square since we had not seen the tulips and we knew they would be gone soon. They were already taking out some of the tulip beds but we still saw many lovely flowers.

I wanted some photos with the kids and this is the behavior we have to deal with.

We spend most of our time at Temple Square going from fountain to fountain, the kids love water!
I am getting very pregnant. I'm 2/3 of the way, fully third term! Second trimester went by pretty fast, and probably faster than the 3rd will go. Sadly, some of my discomforts of pregnancy have hit earlier this time around. I also am totally waddling, oh well. Baby #3 is a very wiggly little girl.

Many lovely flowers. Our kids love tulips. We have lost a lot in our yard to a couple of deer who have been visiting. It is quite annoying to see our personal lovely tulips mowed down by stay deer. They better be gone before there is much in the garden!

Something went wrong with Jane's pretty.

Always happy to see a fairly normal photo of Colin.

Jane being asked to please not climb so high.

There is some open grass so there was some freeze tag.

We spent the last week in the Seattle area to visit Brian's family as travel in June is out with a trip to Poland and I will not be fit to travel July and August. Sadly, we got zero Stucki photos, even though several times we intended to get out the camera. Guess it is more fun to see and interact with family than take photos of them. We met my sister at the Seattle Aquarium and did take some photos there. To the delight of our children, my sister let her 8 year old skip school to play with us.

The kids were a little too shy to touch many things. Brian wondered if the touch pools were where the bad starfish had to go for punishment.

Cute cousins.

Colin adores his cousin Maggie. We stayed with them when Brian was working with Seattle Opera and Colin learned a lot about playing from her. I like this photo of him trying to do just what she is doing. She is nearly 3 years older but they still have a good time, I think because Colin loves to do anything she wants. I really hope they stay good friends.

I love the little hands.

Jane climbed up to this little pool where tides kept coming in. It surprised her every time.
